Who We Are

Empowering Rural Communities

The Mantlako Tees Foundation is the dedicated Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) arm of the strategic TEES-Mantlako Joint Venture. This JV, formed between Mantlako Trading and Try Easy Electrical Solutions (TEES), comprises two Level 1 BBBEE companies.

The Foundation leverages the technical and industry expertise of its partners, combined with local knowledge and strong community relationships to create sustainable socio-economic opportunities.

Geographic Focus: The Mantlako TEES Foundation is committed to driving skills development, digital inclusion, and SMME empowerment primarily within Burgersfort and its surrounding communities. Our foremost priority is to uplift rural areas such as Burgersfort, Driekop, Ga-Mapodile, Garatouw, Ga-Mashamothane, Ga-Mampuru, and neighbouring villages. These regions are rich in potential but constrained by high unemployment, limited access to accredited training, and underdeveloped infrastructure. Our programs contribute to sustainable socio-economic impact in the Sekhukhune District and beyond.

Our Vision

To be a leading catalyst for socio-economic transformation, building a resilient, self-sufficient, and digitally inclusive future for youth and community members in the Burgersfort region.

Our Mission

To provide comprehensive, accredited training funded by SETAs, facilitate enterprise creation, and integrate educational support to equip unemployed youth and community members with the accredited skills necessary for sustainable livelihoods and economic participation at no cost to the candidates.

Our Impact

The Mantlako Tees Foundation drives measurable impact by empowering communities and building a skilled local workforce ready for industry placement.

Mining Industry Transformation

Supporting sustainable development in mining communities through CSI, SLP, and ESD initiatives that ensure mining activities contribute to long-term community development, especially for rural communities surrounding Burgersfort, Driekop, Steelpoort, and other mining zones in the Sekhukhune District.

Long-Term Sustainability

Ensuring that even after mines close or reduce operations, communities remain economically active, skilled, and independent through developing community-owned enterprises and cooperatives in Agriculture, Construction, and Manufacturing, training youth in renewable energy projects, and establishing rural digital hubs.

Enterprise Development

Assisting small businesses in becoming suppliers and improving their standing within the mining value chain through comprehensive support programs including business registration, equipment support, mentorship, and MSME diagnostic studies.
